Gas Guzzlers Emit Millions of Tons of Global Warming Pollution; U.S. PIRG To Release A Report Documenting Excess Pollution And Gas Expenditures
WASHINGTON - June 15 -

As Congress considers whether to freeze automobile miles per gallon standards for another year, U.S. PIRG will release a report documenting the millions of tons of excess global warming pollution, billions of dollars in excess gas expenditures, and millions of barrels of excess oil consumed due to a loophole in miles per gallon laws that allows light trucks to have inferior fuel economy.
