Students to Walk Out in Protest of Military Recruiters
NEW YORK - October 6 - WHAT: National Day of Action to Stop the Military Recruiters


1. Student Walk-Out/Union Square Speak-Out

WHO: Not In Our Name Students and Youth

WHEN: Tuesday Oct 7, 2003, 12 Noon

WHERE: Union Square, New York City

Students will walk out of classes, gathering in Union Square to hold a speak-out, where they will have the opportunity to take the stage and express their feelings about military recruitment and the war policies of the Bush Administration.

2. Columbia University Speak Out Against the Occupation

WHO: Columbia Anti-War Coalition and Students for Environmental and Economic Justice

WHEN: Tuesday Oct 7, 2003, 12-2 pm

WHERE: Sundial (College Walk), Columbia University, New York City

3. Anti-Recruitment Protest, Times Square

WHO: Not In Our Name plus other student and youth groups

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, 3 pm

WHERE: Times Square Recruiting office, 42 St and Broadway, New York City

Protesters will gather in front of the recruiting office and hold a spontaneous demonstration.

These protests are part of nationwide student actions taking place on the same day.
