Baring Witness in Alaska
March 12 - About 375 clothed people formed an S.O.S. and a peace sign in a hayfield near Fairbanks, Alaska on Saturday March 8th, to speak out against the threatened war in Iraq. The sign, created by a diverse group of peace activists and church members, was 100 feet tall and 250 feet wide. The event was organized in one week by Suzanne Osborn and Elizabeth Belknap of Fairbanks. The inspiration for this action is the heartfelt conviction that peace is breaking out all over, and it's time to spread the word!!!
