WASHINGTON - March 20 - Philip E. Clapp, president of the National Environmental Trust is available for TV and radio interviews regarding EPA Administrator Whitman's scheduled announcement that she will withdraw the arsenic standard for drinking water today.

Whitman's withdrawal of arsenic standards flies in the face of scientific evidence that arsenic causes cancer and other debilitating diseases, and occurs in unsafe levels in water supplies in many areas in the United States.
